Muyassar Rafieva is the founder and managing partner of the firm. For nearly 30 years, she has led the practice with dedication and vision, guiding the team in delivering exceptional service to clients.

Throughout her career, Muyassar has built an extensive network of leading intellectual property firms worldwide and has played a significant role in the development of the IP profession in Tajikistan.

Her practice encompasses all areas of intellectual property law, with particular focus on strategic counseling, brand development, and the enforcement of IP rights. She has successfully represented both regional and multinational clients across a wide range of industries.

Muyassar regularly serves as an intellectual property expert before the Economic Courts of Tajikistan and has advised leading manufacturers in numerous cases involving counterfeit and lookalike products. She remains actively committed to strengthening intellectual property protection and advancing the development of the IP system in Tajikistan.

Takhmina has nearly 20 years of experience in intellectual property law and advises clients on all aspects of IP protection, with particular expertise in trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement in Tajikistan.

She counsels clients on trademark filing strategies through both the national registration system and the Madrid System for the international registration of trademarks. She regularly represents clients before the Tajik Patent Office and customs authorities in matters relating to trademark protection and enforcement.

Takhmina's practice also encompasses patents, industrial designs, and contentious intellectual property matters. She represents clients before courts and intellectual property authorities in office action responses, opposition proceedings, and trademark disputes, and advises on complex assignments, licenses, and other IP recordation matters.

Throughout her career, she has represented leading companies in the automotive, pharmaceutical, technology, energy, alcoholic beverages, and apparel sectors, successfully handling trademark oppositions, overcoming office actions, and managing prosecution matters.

Before joining the Partnership in 2004, Takhmina practiced medicine as an otorhinolaryngologist, bringing valuable scientific and technical insight to her intellectual property practice.

Rafijan combines a strong technical background with decades of experience in intellectual property law. Holding degrees in nuclear physics and software development, he advises clients on a broad range of patent and trademark matters, with particular expertise in patent drafting, prosecution, and protection before the Tajik Patent Office.

His practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications across a variety of technical fields, as well as advising clients on trademark clearance, maintenance, and enforcement in Tajikistan.

Before beginning his career in intellectual property in 1995 as a Patent and Trademark Attorney Assistant, Rafijan was a part-time lecturer at Tajik National University and operated his own software development business.

He joined the Partnership as a Patent and Trademark Attorney in 2006 and has since assisted clients in securing and protecting intellectual property rights both nationally and internationally.
